So, let’s put it into perspective: DeVos’ kids are now born into the top of the caste system: they go to the best school and will never miss a meal.
Check the ghetto: happy, but born into a crack mom’s horrible trip.
Slight difference in resources growing up.
2. Accountability. No one wants to admit that there is still a giant divide between the rich and the poor.
Republicans want schools private, they passed No Child Left Behind and labeled all our schools in MI failures JUST TO SLASH FUNDING. The property taxes in Rockford fund Rockford High School: why do you think Grand Rapids Public Schools routinely blow and the suburbs produce state sports titles?
Seriously, people? So we are going to turn a blind eye to certain schools aka KIDS receiving less?
3. My mom took her children out of Grand Rapids Public for Rockford right before High School; she’s a GRPS TEACHER.
4. The point: Give everyone the same shit.
How can we watch Dicky build Christian High EVERYThinG and just let Ottawa Hills down the street sit there?
People who don’t like Dems don’t realize that just cuz politicians are pussys doesnt mean there isnt a huge difference between policys that crush our funding and obama health care aka help aka trying aka the right direction aka the fucking WRONG VS RIGHT
How to change: Eliminate local tax breaks and provide equality for everyone. Otherwise, why wouldn’t the 75% Lower Class destroy everything?? Revolt! Seriously, the top 1% of money will NEVER leave America, all this free capital aka people. Trust me, poor rednecks, we hold the key to economic success; who else can businesses ultimately sell to? The people make a business, not the owner. Trust me. You are more important than dollars.
I am Young Snarfs’ mom. I t was a hard choice to make when we moved to Rockford. We all missed living in Grand Rapids. All kids deserve quality education. It’s just not fair. But dare I say too much.
That’s right.
They try and say your income relative to rich people’s isn’t an issue; try paying bills on 13k a year. And, when the tax was in place as I learned at U of M, the top people used to still pay, they can’t say anything over a certain amount is tax exempt. Not to mention fucked up local laws allowing unequal distribution… These people are STRAIGHT HOARDERS. Shooting themselves, truly, right in the foot, for they can’t really get anywhere but they get an illusion of wealth… the pretend rich, aka snobs. If they instead build a way more enjoyable world with good resources, we’d all feel better! Who the fuck is for giving up? Anybody?? Giving up on poor people? Housing in jail is expensive as hell… yet we invest no money in rehabilitating the habitats these people are products of at birth?
